Are there any Americans who actually applaud China's performance this Olympics?

Goddamn it, I am a 100% American (My parent, grandparents were born on American soil. My dad and his brothers are war veterans). And although I was behind my nation 100%. The Chinese put up an amazing fight, and until proven otherwise they have my respect and I congratulate everyone of of their athletes for their success. h**l, I congratulate every single athlete in the Beijing Olympics!

Well, 'Americans' means Mexicans, Canadians and the US so yes of course! Achievement at this level is certainly revered and given its due credit regardless of nation of origin!

for some reason...many people think americans are petty and have bad sportsmanship, but i think that goes for certain people in every country. however i am not a bad sport...alot of us aren't. to answer your question...i applaud great athleticism and yes i do applaud china just like i applaud any other country that does a great job. it's too stressful to be bitter over things such as athletics. i give credit where credit is due.

I don't know about in America, but I was in Beijing, and the Chinese really cheered for Michael Phelps, Shawn Johnson and Coby Bryant and the DreamTeam etc

I think they knew most of the Americans are good folks like themselves... it is only some sad losers who goes on and on about this and that etc...

In fact the truth is Chinese knew better about America than American knew abut China

For a big and great country like USA, there are always many many brillant stars, but sadly there also always gotta be plenty of idiots too...

I applaud what they have achieved, but I think they're pushing their athletes too far with their extensive training.
