Are there any Aussies living in New Zealand??? And if so how many???

Hey I was just wondering if there are any Aussie living in NZ and whether they find it different living in NZ and stuff and how many of Aussies actually move to NZ and if its weird or not and do the Local NZers treat you well??? What are you opinions and fact on this matter, please tell me more??? Ei. Yes there are some Aussies in NZ How they got here I don't know but they didn't swim. Mostly they're a good bunch of guys and fit in quite well.

Well i work with at least 10 Australians here in New Zealand (but i work for Christchurch city libraries and our entire staff numbers are upwards of 300, though i work specifically with roughly 100 colleagues) I know of a number of Aussies who actually are studying in NZ, my cousin has a couple in her outdoor education group at Polytech.

So basically yes there certainly are a decent number of Australians living in New Zealand, probably not quite as high as the number of kiwis living in Australia but a notable amount nonetheless.

Answering as a kiwi i would say we treat Aussies (and most other immigrants) as one of us! we probably even give Aussies in particular glorified treatment because they've chosen the "best" of the two countries to live in

its difficult to find specific facts and figures that list the number of Australian immigrants for some reason, possibly its because many do choose to only live here for 2 years or less...
