  1. Well, the gold sovereign, which has been minted since 1489, has a nominal value of one pound. But a "BU" (Brilliant Uncirculated) gold sovereign of, say 1911-1934, sells for about $215.00. .


  2. There are several but mainly confimed to pre-decimal coins. Silver coins made between about 1920 and 1947 were 50% silver, ones before 1920 solid silver. The rarest coin is a 1933 penny as there were only six minted. The queen has one, fiour are under the foundations of consecrated churches and one cannot be found.

  3. There are coin collectors in GB also, but the turn in value of any coin is always face.

  4. Yes, there are. They have rare coins just like the USA does. Get yourself a reference book about them.
