  1. I am a former chef and live in Toronto, Jen, I am in the Annex (Dupont & Dovercourt), and marzipan is easy to find even Honest Ed's carry it I was there yesterday, and British shop will to, I go to Mrs Bridges store at Eglinton and Victoria Park in the large plaza, but there are smaller store and even Ziggy's delis (Yonge and St Clair) and some grocery store will have it in there international aisles, small amounts for a larger chunk you may have to find a dealer, try the Bulk Barn also, I have bought it there at Xmas when I make my high octane double rum Jamaican fruitcake, I have to cover it in marzipan or it with spontaneously combust.

  2. You know its easy to make? Ground almonds, egg white and sugar is all it is. You mix it in a food processor, and knead it, color it and you have it for use. Its one of my favorite things.
