Are there any Canadian Astronauts or ones that wanna go to Mars and stuff?

Why is there no CASA? Canadian Aeronautics and Space Administration?

Wouldn't Ottawa be interested in funding a Canadian Space Program?

Or is there just so much land in Canada that Space is not an issue :)

it is because of money - canada would not be able to fund such a project - not that they are poor it is just that the tax revenue is put toward Health care, and other projects.

going to space especially starting from scratch is VERY VERY expensive. The only way it would happen is private funding

1.  $$$$$, but there is a Canadian Space Agency.

2. There have been several Cdn astronauts -Marc Garneau and Roberta Bondar included - and a new selection process is underway.

A major Canadian contribution to the space staion is the Canadarm, and now Dextre.

3.  We have hundreds of other space cadets, many of whom are in politics. :)
