Are there any Countries that have mandatory community service at the age of 18 ?

I'm doing an essay on community service and need some information on countries that have mandatory community service.

Israel requires two years military training/service from all citizens when they reach 18.  When their required active duty is complete, they remain on reserve status for the rest of their lives.  When your country is surrounded on three sides by enemy nations sworn to kill you and the ocean on the fourth side, such a philosophy seems prudent.

Germany requires males to either do two years of community service or nine months in the military. This program is just about to be scrapped, which is leaving various community organizations wondering how they are going to continue to staff their services.

Nigeria requires all young people to undertake community service. I worked with a pre-law student online there who was just finishing up her mandatory service. I *think* it's a year, but I'm not certain.
