All the ones I've talked to are IN FAVOR of these things. I'm wondering if there are any out there who are OPPOSED to them. Whichever stance you take, please explain why you take that stance. Thanks.

  1. I am Hispanic, and I don't care what happens.  Either way, there will be immigrants that come here illegally.  I can see both sides, though.  Granting amnesty is giving the USA a HUGE boost.  America runs on illegal immigrants.  Every store has some kind of illegal immigrant or Hispanic person working there.  If you don't grant amnesty, then you could see a lot of businesses going downhill.  On the other hand, who wants immigrants coming from all around the world, and automatically getting amnesty?  It would attract more and more people to come to the USA.  Either way, immigrants will come whether it be a lot or a little.

    Just my opinion.

  2. Yes of course there are.  As already mentioned, go to www.dontspeakforme.org.

  3. i am mexican american and oppsosed to illegal immigration. however, just to be opposed to illegal immigration and the granting of amnesty doesnt change things if key points arent understood. i married a beautiful mexican woman...and brought her here legally. she is more educated (and cultured) than i am...  yet, even though she is a legal immigrant and we did everything legally, she will be subject to discrimination because she came from mexico. is that fair? my family has lived in the american southwest since before the signing of the american declaration of indepence yet i am taken as a recent arrival everyday. is that fair? ive served in the military yet i am continously asked to prove my loyalty to this country. is that fair? no...but thats life. everyday, "hispanics" or more accurately mexicans are blamed for everything to salmonella poisoning to the recession, then you are surprised that hispanic americans are in favor of amnesty! of course, they are...  if we dont defend for our mexican cousins, who will? you?

mexico and mexicans have a huge part in the sucess of this country....and also have a lot at stake.  we need immigration and mexicans need to work. a strong mexico is what america should work for as well....  it would benefit all of us. instead we send money across the globe for people who bad mouth us anyway! all immigrants want to do is work....which is why i guess some americans are threatend by that....they dont want the competition! but tell me, who is going to do the jobs that americans cant/wont do? what made the cost of food so low in this country for so long was (drum roll, please!) uncontrolled illegal immigration!!!!!!  if farmers are paying slave wages to these poor people they dont have to pass that along to the consumer. if farmers have to pay higher wages to attract american workers (which they havent been able to do so far) the price of food will go even higher! farmers in this country are finding it harder and harder to make a living without their cheap labor and prices are going higher and higher without their cheap labor. these illegal immigrants are also taxed millions for services they will never use...so you know the gov't doesnt mind too much and that may be a reason why they dont seriously tacke the immigration issue....because they fully know the impact these illiegal immigrants have on this country....money talks. so, making it harder and harder to find cheap labor in this country is not the answer. we need cheap labor....esp if all us americans want to live like fat cats in front of their hdtvs. if anyone can prove that illegal immigrants are stealing jobs from us americans, i will change my view.....but when was the last time you saw a blue eyed gringo picking lettuce? my wife on the other hand....a legal immigrant...could steal your job. she is an educated professional. but, she got here legally!

oh and that arguement that we need to safeguard our borders from terrorism so we need to stop all immigration is bullsh*t....  name a terrorist that came into this country thru the mexican border.....you cant, because none has. before 9-11 the biggest terrorist in this country was a white american named timothy mcvie who was motivated by race....a typical american reaction....  blame whatever goes wrong on someone who you consider beneath you.

  4. im cuban, or at least my dad is. i think immigrants come to this country with hope and happiness, and i think it's so sad for the government to take that all away from them. if they promise to work and pay taxes and cr.ap, then i think they should be allowed to stay in this country

  5. There are pros and cons To illegal immigration

Pros- We are called the land of "opportunities" Most people come here in search of a better life for them or a family even if they do find a crumby job it's probably better then how they lived before, Any one who has a heart would understand. Most If not ALL immigrants do the jobs that "Americans: are to lazy to do. In my opinion without most of them America would be a slower Pacest Country.

Cons- sometimes The illegal Immagrants come here to cause trouble and it's becuase of people like them that America can't move on to become one of the safest places in the world.

Most people Whine about how they get free education and how it comes out of there taxes  BIG DEAL those are the selfish people who say they work hard for there money when they can't even spare a dollar to homeless person. To me that is Ignorance they act as if they had to jump The empire state building just to make 1 dollar.

  6. O.K. I am hispanic, and I have seen people come here both legally and illegally. I was born here, with my parents migrating from Mexico, and yes, they both did it totally legally. So, to say that I oppose illegal immigration and granting amnesty should be natural, right? Since we did it the right way, but, for different reasons, I support it ( not illegal immigration, but I can seriously understand why it happens). First of all, I think this great wall of America has to be the biggest waste of American tax dollars ever. History will time and time again tell you that walls stand for more than just a physical seperation, but a metaphorical and artificial sense of false security. If people are truly determined, they will find a way to cross.

My solution to this problem is two fringed. 1st, I would grant total and complete amnesty to all those illegals in the country. Not only is it scary that the U.S. does not truly know who and how many people are within its border, but its scary to see how far conservatives will launch their xenophobic behavior towards normal people who strive for a better life in America.

2nd, after every person is accounted for, I would enforce the legal immigration process with full force, making it well known to foreign citizens that illegal immigration will be strictly enforced and will be punishable in their countries as well as our own within full authority of the law. While it may seem unfair and somewhat strict, this country must obtain order in the protection of its borders an d of those dwelling within its borders.

It's foolproof, now I just need to become a politican.

  7. This is a very difficult subject to judge for 3 reasons:

    1. Are we related to someone that could get deported?

    2. What is the deportation for?

    3. Is there family in the middle?

In reality, the law today doesn't care about this sentimental issues. I myself wish that there were no deportations or illegals. Some people come here to make a better life for their loved ones and end up working in the fields for dirt pay.

Others come and become parasites to society and live like kings. You go figure....

  8. i am opposed since some of us actually do it the hard way

  9. My family has been in the US LEGALLY for the last 100 years.  We have worked hard for what we have.  Illegal immigration takes jobs from those of us who's family's came to the country the right way.  To grant amnesty to illegals would be to tell them that it is okay to come to this country and steal our jobs.  My personal experience with jobs being taken is that I applied for a housekeeping job at an apartment complex.  I got turned down so that one of the maintenance men's wives could do the job.  Mind you they were both illegal.  Some, not all, illegal immigrants have no respect for the country they live in.  They would rather fly the flag of their home country than fly the flag of the country that THEY are choosing to live in.  Look at what happened at the school in California.  The kids that were here illegally skipped school, pulled down the AMERICAN flag, put the Mexican flag up with the American flag flying upside down underneath it.  To me this symbolizes that America is under illegal immigrants control.   Any illegal immigrant who gets a job in the US needs a SSN and a State license.  Unfortunately, these are taken from hard working Americans that are still alive and using these items.  IF, and only if they are caught, they can get deported for identity fraud and theft.  I do not support illegal immigartion or granting them amnesty.

I live in New Mexico, where the person sitting next to you is 9 times out of 10 an illegal immigrant.

  10. Oregon?  I would think that if you talked to a Hispanic in Oregon you probably talked to an illegal alien, and yes.. they do want amnesty.

But if you talk to the Hispanics along the border or in many other places, you will discover they don't support the illegal aliens, and don't want the amnesty.  Keep in mind those illegal aliens are in direct competition with the Mexican Americans in this country and they work for less than a living wage and live in shacks.

    =========================

Two points though: Americans don't want the illegal aliens allowed to stay in this country and want this mess cleaned up.  In addition to all that... illegal aliens are criminals and have broken the law.

  11. Illegal immigration is killing this country and NOT solving any problems in Mexico or other Latin American countries. I am all for amnesty, if the person has lived here over 5 years without any criminal activity, can speak English, has worked the whole time and can integrate into this country. I am for very strict borders to keep criminals OUT and to stop the horrible coyotes, drug cartels, border rape, and people dying in the desert. Maybe if the border is finally closed, the great people of Mexico will get desperate enough to start a serious revolution in Mexico and get the corrupt leaders out. It would be the absolute best to have a fair Mexico so that people would not feel the absolute desperation to leave.

  12. That would be me, but I'm not alone go to New Mexico and ask any of the local Hispanics how they feel about the illegal aliens and the way the government treats them with kid gloves.

  13. i'm black, and i totally oppose it. its just not all that fair...

  14. Well, what you say here is a load of bear baloo. Many yanks rather live off benefits than working on the fields.

You got that one wrong, bubbles. I have two university titles as well.

Your question is totally incomplete. Obviously, illegal immigration means that criminals enter to do their evil deeds, but my personal experience is that in the consulate we suffered so many humiliations, disinformation, and mistreat, that when somebody who is not a criminal skips it, that is poetic justice or karma

    Rigth thing..

Your idea of the "right thing" is veeeeery twisted

  15. Please do not bunch everybody together. I for one totally disagree with people who come here illegally, and then try to impose their culture on the rest of us instead of becoming American, this, after all, was the country that gave you the opportunities you lacked back home, why then try to rub your flag and your language on the rest of America? I admire the historical immigration of Europeans who came here long ago, and became American and embraced this as their new country without losing their culture and their identities, like the Italians, Irish etc, But we still have people here coming in like those from the 19th and early 20th century, we are here, it's just hard for you to see, when we are greatly outnumbered by the illegals who come here rubbing their flag in all of our faces. Mostly the mexicans, as  they are raised in a very ignorant society, they are taught from birth to be biggots against  other cultures they are brainwashed into thinking their country is the center of the universe they are taught to be anti-American to think they are better than the germans, the English than everybody, see, their government brainwashes them so they stay busy hating so their government can keep them poor and illiterate.  When they get out and they finally realize they "ain't  S hit" then they feel so out of place and so inadecuate, their only way to deal with it is by allienating themselves from mainstream society. They support illegals as long as it only includes them.

Ignorance is the worst monster a society could fight.

  16. I just watched the show titled '30 Days' and the particular topic was a man who was hispanic, and immigrated legally. He was extremely opposed to illegal immigration and lived with a family of immigrants for 30 days. I reccomend watching that episode.

  17. I am opposed and I am Hispanic American.Illegal is just what it means illegal. All foreigners have to go through a process of Americanization, why should hispanic people  be exempt. If we let any foreigner be a citizen because they snuck in,where would our economy be?Whether you are hispanic or european or Asian, the law should be equal for all races.

  18. My husband is Hispanic and has done everything the right way and it is the hard way, but worth it... the illegals in our area nearly bankrupted us in our business, from being able to undercut bids (by not having all the ins. that is required that we had to have to be legal), as well as other things. Draining our national resources... so I am not opposed to immigrants, only illegals.... we all have to live by rules and laws. We should ALL have to play by the same guidelines in society.

  19. No

    <--- Mojado por live :)

  20. im not american but i like to share my views

i mean if there wasent illigal immergrents then the world would be boring and as for the UK the place is full of Polish and i carn't get a job because of them and they also get paid less money

  21. Check the website "youdon'tspeakforme" and see for yourself how vehemently these legal Hispanic Americans are against the illegal Hispanics

  22. I am a hispanic American and i am kinda opposed to illegal immigration. I do think it is sad and we should let them work here for at least a year and send them home. If you were to visit mexico you will understand why they do it. Some of my family did come here illegally. I know my brother dad and mom and my 2 baby sisters ages 3 months old and 3 years old.

  23. Of course. I know plenty of Hispanic people who are against illegal immigration and amnesty, and are irritated that people assume they support these things just because of their ethnicity or name.

  24. Yes and they are in various groups.  Two of the biggest are the Minutemen and Don't Speak for Me.  Don't Speak for Me is a group made up solely of Americans of Hispanic descent against illegal immigration http://dontspeakforme.org/

The Minutemen have a multi-ethnic membership, including Hispanic-Americans.

  25. I'm sure there are.  This country is home to tens of millions of Hispanics.  What are the chances none oppose illegal immigration?
