Are there any Jamie McMurray fans out there besides me?

Question

I have been a HUGE Jamie McMurray fan since he started racing, but I don't think there are any other fans out there. I really think Jamie is a great driver but gets caught up in a lot of other people's messes. I also don't think Roush gives him the best stuff, they are too busy with Carl Edwards or Matt Kenseth. Does anyone else think Jamie is getting the shaft?

I don't think that he is getting the shaft cause look at Ragan, Biffle, and Edwrads they have had troubles as well but I just don't think that Jamie is not getting a hold on the C.OT. program yet just give hime some time and he might do better.

Yes I have long thought Jamie is getting the shaft and I consider myself a fan of his. I am hoping he will go to another team of Ford or Chevy.

I've always liked him, ever since he satrted in the Cup series. I was a hugh Rusty Wallace fanitic. And after Rusty retired Jamie Mac was my pick for favorite driver. And I do seriously think the he could be good, if he could just have better luck. His luck just stinks.

But yeah, I am a fan of Jamie McMurray.

I think he is getting the shaft as you said. He has a proven crew chief so I dont know whats up. He can drive, Roush is  too big for their britches.

Jamie Mac does get slammed alot here, but it's normally people who only look at where he finishes and not how he got there. Jamie's cursed, I don't think I've ever seen anyone with such bad luck, theres someone new wrecking him every week.

i like the guy, not my favorite, but i have cheered fr him in the past, he is definetly my favorite ford driver, but i still hate fords. And your right, he does gt the short end of the stickwhen it comes to equipment in the roush camp, they think he cant compete with keneth and edwards, but i think if he had the stuff, and could get out of the sucky pack of guys who always end up wrecking and takig him out, he could actually do something with himself and his career.

I personally think that he's just a pretty boy with more car than he can handle.  I feel that he was way more competitive at Ganassi then he is at Roush and I als think that he'll be the one to go from Roush unless if The Biff doesn't resign.  If that turns out to be the case, watch for him to take Yates "saviors" David G's place in the #38.

He's had more than enough time to adjust to Roush cars and he's yet to make any kind of impact.

Does he have talent, yes, have to have to race with the big boys, but is he Championship caliber, he hasnt shown me that yet.

In short, I dont dislike him, but I dont like him either.

nope.  i guess i still harbor a little unreasonable resentment at two things:

1) he took over kurt's ride.  i'm glad they changed the number from 97 to 26.

2) he obviously cheated during the pepsi 400 last year to beat my boy by thousandths of a second.  ;-)

Jamie's okay.  He's had some success, but an awful lot of bad luck lately.  I absolutely love his primary sponsor.  lol

Yes!! Jamie is my favorite driver. He's had sooo much bad luck this year. It seemed like he has been in the wrong place at the wrong time at many of the races this year. Hopefully this past weekend at Darlington is a sign of good things to come for him and his #26 team and he can get another win at Lowes Motor Speedway!!

I am a Yates guy myself, but I do like to dip into the Roush-Fenway camp.

I like Ragan, Edwards, and McMurray. (HATE BIFFLE AND KENSETH)

Jamie actually won the pepsi 400 last year that I was at, great race, close finish. Good to see him do well.

(I think that there is absolutly no doubt that one of the Roush boys will be packing the bags up and moving to Yates after the 4 car team limit rule is grandfathered in. I think that Doug wants to build Yates up, not replace. If Jamie Mac were to come over and have a sponsor, and the 28 and 38 have deals set up, I would only expect it to be an add-on.)
