Going to Bangkok/ Phuket in December and would love to hold/ feed and get photos with Orangutans. I know they are found in Borneo, but was wondering if there was a Zoo or some where that this would be done in either Bangkok and Phuket?

  1. As far as I know: neither. You can see Orangs in both zoo's, but you can't feed them, or have pictures taking while holding the Orang. You can take pictures during feeding time.

  2. The best bet is Bangkok Zoo named Dusit but I'm not sure. Orang Utan comes from Indonesia from the Island of kalimantan, or Borneo as called by the Philippines (the whole island occupied by four countries (malaysia, indonesia, the philippines and brunei).

The word Orang means people, and Utan means jungle. So, literally it means Jungle People. Not of Thai origin.
