  1. i loved i mean LOVED hossa b4 he left. he's a jerk now.

  2. okay. so i know he was a rental and all. but the whole circumstance of how he left, when he left, and to who he went does make me a little bitter.

perhaps it was the best move for him and i respect what he did for us, but you cant expect pens fans to act like it never happened.

  3. i dont either

  4. Couldn't tell you.

But, I do know there's a bunch of Wings fans that do.

  5. I don't know why you guys are overreacting.  He was a RENTAL player.  He played for half a season!  It's not like Hossa spent his entire career on your team and decided to leave.  He didn't even go to the Flyers or anything.  Sure he went to Detroit, the team that beat you guys, but he wanted to go there for a chance to win the Cup.  I think that's respectable.

  6. You pens fans are overreacting.  its not like he went to the flyers.  Just because he was traded to your teams at the deadline doesnt mean he should stay for his career.  He was a rental.  its just retarted that you guys act like he was suppose to be a penguin this year, get over it.

  7. Am I disappoint he didn't re-up with the Pens, yes but do I think he is the equivalent of Jagr, no.  I don't know why detroit fans seem to be taking issue with Pens fans.  I congratulated Detroit fans when they won, isn't that enough.  Pens fans I know I am crossing sports here but do some of and I repeat some of these red wings' fans seem like seattle seahawk fans.  I never said hossa is a traitor.  I think hossa will find the west will be much tougher next year.  Yeah its not like he went to the flyers, rangers, or even islanders.  To be honest no one wants to go to the islanders.  However let's play devils advocate.  If Zetterberg went to the devils and they just beat the red wings in the stanley cup finals, how would you react?

  8. First off, Hossa is far from a traitor. He played there for half a season, it’s not like Sid Crosby left.

How can any Penguins fan justify hating Hossa? Look at how he performed in the regular season and postseason for you guys. It’s time to face reality, the Penguins would NOT have made it as far as they did without him. Right now, Hossa wants to win a Stanley Cup more than anything. If you were an NHL player, and you wanted to win a Stanley Cup, which team would you play for? If you say any team outside of Detroit, you need a big reality check. The Red Wings left little doubt that they were the best team in the league last year, they kept their core together, they have one of the best GMs in the league, and they had plenty of available cap space to make some moves. Regardless of where Hossa ended up this year, the Wings were going to be the team to beat. All he is doing is improving their chances.

  9. I'm just a Blackhawk fan who hates him because he is a Redwing.  Now Chris Chelios, that is a REAL traitor in my book.  But if it gets more people to hate the Red Wings, then fine, Hossa is a traitor too.

  10. Of course not.  But why do Pens fans get so worked up over a guy who was a Penguin for all of 31 games?  Last year Matthiew Schneider signed with the Ducks of Anahiem.  The reaction was nowhere near as negative as this and that was after playing four years with the Red Wings.  Pens fans, don't worry... you'll be over him by Week 2 next season.

And, oh yes, to INSANE who called Chris Chelios a traitor to the Blackhawks?  It was their own fault that he ever ended up in Detroit.  Next time don't trade your legend to a rival.

And don't thumbs down SARA FTW, everything she said was true.

  11. Great question, and honzoman with an excellent answer.

    Heres a star for creativity.

  12. Well, I dont really see how you can consider Hossa a traitor to Pittsburgh...

He was traded to a club that was definitely on the verge of a Stanley Cup Playoff berth (and rightfully so). That club then lost to the better team.

Hossa, instead of taking monster contracts like some other Free Agent's, decided to go to the team that lost NOTHING and still maintained its core, coaching staff etc. He wants to win a Stanley Cup, Detroit IS STILL the best option at this point to repeat this.

Hossa made no implications that he would be staying with Pittsburgh, and being that he was the most sought after Free Agent, you couldnt have honestly imagined he was staying in Pittsburgh anyway....not with them having to lock up Malkin, Fleury (now) and eventually Staal, etc.

  13. I'm a lifelong Penguins fan, and I have no beef with Marian Hossa. He specified that he wanted to win, and was willing to take a pay cut to do it. In their present form, the Penguins could not provide Hossa with the former stipulation. The Red Wings provided not only the shorter contract, but the absolute best opportunity to win another Stanley CUp (it also helps the Wings are not coached by a putz named Michel Therrien). Call me a traitor, but I cannot wait until the day Therrien has a rift with Sidney Crosby. Guess who will win that battle?

  14. no no no no no

    he is the devil's child

i cant wait till he bombs with detroit and sid laughs in his face while he lifts that cup

    stupid ediot

hossa will wish that he could get that corn out of his face

even after the pens offered 7 year deal so even if they lose next year, he has 6 more years with 2 of the best players in the nhl to try and win hes stupid and selfish and dumb

    go crsoby malkin and fleury

  15. We all get mad when we get abandoned and that's how those Pens fans feel.

They all need therapy (just a joke)

  16. I think it's funny how everyone else that's not a Pens fan and just an observer to the situation says 'oh, get over it, big deal, he was a rental, blah blah blah blah blah blah' but you can't sit there and tell me if the exact same circumstances happened to your team with the exact same outcome, you wouldn't be a little bitter.  just a little.  be honest.

  17. Rental player or not, you guys made the Finals and take away games 1 and 2 and you might have been the champs.

So when he laughs at your offer then jumps to the team that beat it's gotta sting

I've been big on the idea of the Wings repeating but I actually think this a bad move, the star power thing usually ends up back firing because he mess with chemistry and with Zetterberg and Datsyuk bringing home some hardware the locker room might not be big enough for another star.

  18. Yes, there are Penguins fans who have gone through players leaving their team, and are mature enough to accept and respect his decision. I am one of them. He is an amazing two-way forward who will bring the Wings over the top even more than they already are. But please don't ask a question about a player that you can't even spell his name.

  19. I don't see how y'all think he's a traitor. yes, i'm a wings fan but this happened to them last year when schneider signed with the ducks and i never thought he was a traitor. this is a game and you got to do whats best for you to win
