1) Bio 201- Human Anatomy & Physiology 1

2) Eng 101- English Composition 1

3) Psy 101- General Psychology 1

4) Psy 235- Human Growth and Development

5) Mat 107- Career Math

If not do I have to take any placement tests for any of these classes?

I know you might think that I need to talk to a counselor but no counselor in my town will help me

  1. Anytime you see a 200 level course there is a very good chance you have to take a 100 level course first.  Bio 201 probably requires a gen biology class at the 100 level.  Math classes are a whole different situation.  Sometimes there is a specific sequence like 101, 102, 103 but a course like career math sounds like one for someone who will not need advanced math skills.  Different schools have varying policies about being able to test for advanced placement.

  2. If there are pre-requisites they would be stated in the university course catalogue.  Psych 235 should have the pre-req of psych 101.  The rest appear to be entry level classes (note they are listed as 100 level classes...usually the 200 level mean a pre-req).  Pre-requisites are college pre-requisites, not high school level courses.  (college prof)

  3. You'll definitely need to take a placement exam for math and english before being eligible to register for them.

  4. No General Psychology is a pre req for human growth and devlopment though. But you dont need any pre req's for anything else besides maybe career math it depends on what level you are at. Talk to a advisor they should be able to tell you anything else you may need to know.
