Are there any Semi-permanent mods you can do to the exterior of your car?

Just like Hair dye in fantastic colors is semi permanent, is there anything I can do to my car that will last a few months to a few years and then be removed without any trace?

My dad is a master mechanic and told me that the Vinyl stripes I wanted on my car would in fact be permanent, (so that sucks) because there would be a ghost left that I wouldn't be able to get rid of without re-painting in the case of re-selling it.

body parts, rims, up graded hoods uprgraded calipers as long as you have the old ones you can just swap em out and sell em
