I will be in Delhi for 5 days only in March. Apart from checking out the Taj Mahal and other forts I would love to see the Tigers. Im aware of Rathamone (excuse spelling) and Corbett park but these are 8 hour drives.

I was hoping to maybe spent the day or if need be 1 night where the tigers are.

Any info would be appreciated

  1. Go to Corbett... that's your best chance to see tigers.  but yes... if you are planning your trip around Taj and forts, then Ranathambor would be more appropriate and convenient to include in your itinerary.   Don't waste your time in Sariska... there are no tigers there... and soon there will be no trees there either ;-)

  2. www.delhitourism.com

  3. Sorry to say but if you want to see tiger you have to Ranthambore or Corbett. Earlier there was Sarisa and that was 3 hrs drive from Delhi but unfortunately there are no Tigers as of now. So If you are visiting Agra you can visit Ranthambore for Tigers. If you need more info you can visit holiday club india .net

  4. Nearest place from Delhi is Siriska in Rajasthan, where you can expect to see tiger & leopards.

Itis not well organized sanctuary so make a 1 day visit or stay at Alwar. Siriska is about 60kms from Alwar on NH-8. It is the place liked very much by late P.M. Rajiv Gandhi. There is a forest lodge for overnight stay. If you happen to be there, just visit Lake Palace Hotel at Silisedh,10kms from Alwar. it's a good picnic point and children will love it.
