  1. The only natonal brand that I can think of is Sam Adams.

MillerCoors Brands include every midwest beer that you can name from memory:Pabst, Strohs,Rainer,Old Mil, etc. With research you can see that Miller sold out to South African Breweries in '02 and then Coors sold to Miller in '07. So the Big Three are now foreign with the sale of AB.

  2. Beer is FAR older than modern America (the "US"), so there are no breweries here that are not built on (mostly German) immigrant ownership, brewing skills & management.

I have RELATIVES that are older than any of the four US breweries that claim to be the "oldest in America"!

  3. There are plenty. Where ever you are, I'm sure you've got a ton of local breweries, all owned and operated by Americans.

  4. Maybe Pabst??

  5. Time to come out of your cave and taste the hops, Dave.

  6. There are TONS of American breweries. Right now, the craft beer industry is larger than it has ever been since prohibition. American craft brewers are producing more than just pale, watery beer America has come to be associated with. Check out these sites to learn more about American craft beer goodness:
