Are there any academic studies on the effect of female's shoes on the male libido?

I know that this is not scientific, but my lover spends a lot of time and money buying shoes.

My sexual desire for her does seem to increase when she is wearing expensive shoes.

This isn't all to do with heel height - she has a pair of what I think are called 'ballet flats' that make her,to me, look very s**y. They cost a ridiculous amount of money - although they give us both unquantifiable pleasure.

Yes, although yours is a less common one. There are two main types of shoes that are believed to increase the male libido for two different reasons:

The first is black or red boots, preferably shiny because (use your imagination), it is similar to the colours and textures of a woman's 'quaint'.

The second is stilettos because men will often see stillettos on p**n stars and through excessive watching, will come to unconsciously associate the shoes with s*x. This is a form of Classical Conditioning where an unconditioned stimulus (stilettos) is paired with the conditioned stimulus (the s*x) to create the unconditioned response (an increased libido).

It could be that, although her shoes are not stilettos or red or black boots, that you have at some point paired expensive shoes with s*x. It might not even be that they're expensive that turns you on, it could be that they're flat (for whatever reason) or maybe it's just anything that is expensive turns you on.

Different things affect different people in different ways.  Although I don't think footwear is on the top of the list of what men in general look for in women, I can understand how some would be attracted to it.  I think it also makes a difference in how wearing the shoes alters the women wearing them.  If they feel better wearing a particular pair of shoes that will be conveyed in many other physical ways.
