Are there any actual good free MMORPG's?

Question

I've always wanted one. The best I could actually find was, infact, Runescape. Other free games, I find, are unfriendly to new players, and basically leaves them out to dry. I have limited MMO experience (star wars galaxies mainly) and that introduces the player to the game real well. It's difficult to find games enjoyable if you don't understand how to play them. I've tried RYL, AOA, Heroes Online, Voyage Century Online (this one wasn't that bad, probably the best of all of them) and etc.

Are there any good free MMO's that are like real ones?

Well, Guild Wars is free online, but I guess you would have to go out and buy the game.  It's only like $29 at GameStop though, and I really really like it, it's really fun!

A nice sci-fi mmo based on races PVP, althoug the PVE is also very nice. Once you reach lvl 25 you can join in the chip wars. That is awesome. The chip war allows you too fight together with around 1000 of the same race against a other race.
