Are there any age restrictions, obtaining public court records in Orange County, California?

Question

I'm doing some legal work and need to obtain some copies of court records. The nearest courthouse is quite a distance away. My son (who is 16 and just got his license), is willing to do some running for me.

I didn't know if you had to sign for anything, or if anyone would give him any trouble because of his age.

I tried calling the courthouse, but it closed at 5. So does anybody know if he could obtain the records or not?
