  1. Why do you ask?  I have yet to find one that can hold a candle to any of the Japanese cars I have owned.  They may be getting better but I think it's more because they are using their international partners to develope their smaller cars.

If you are looking to buy a car just get a good Honda or Toyota, you can't go wrong with one of those.

  2. of course there are. lets see, i own:

'99 pontiac trans am (i know they dont make that anymore.)

    '03 lincoln continental

    '02 dodge durango

    '98 ford mustang

all still run and are in good condition. any questions?

  3. American cars are not renowned for being the most reliable - Japanese cars certainly have the best record. However if you really want an American car, make sure its got a good warranty (most offer them now from new) and /or has been looked after well...

  4. i wonder the samething b/c im currently car shopping and every car i ask my mechanic about he shoots down..says not to buy american...check the website below for ratings on all cars

  5. all of them are highly reliable if you take care of them properly.
