Well, there's Juuni Kokki (The Twelve Kingdom). It's actually going to another world, but it looks like a past Japanese anyway.

Or, if you don't want the time warp to be too extreme, try Toki Wo Kakeru Shoujo (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time). It only a warp for a few days back though. But it's a funny and artistic as well.
