  1. I have contacts soo..You can put it in inside out and it hurts like crazy!! BUT the people at the store tell you how to differentiate between the right way and the wrong way to put your lenses in. I would definetly go for it, They are soooo much better than glasses, you'll get the hang of it really quick. :)

  2. eye herpes

  3. They take a bit of getting used to and can irritate.  Many years ago when I first had contacts I found I was allergic to the fluid they were kept in but I think things have improved dramatically since then.  I am talking about 20 years ago so I would hope they have improved.

  4. i wear them and they're awesome after you get used to them. at first your eyes will feel uncomfortable, and you can't rub them too hard or you'll rip the contact. you have to make sure your hands are clean when you put them in your eyes or you'll get an infection. just ask your eye doctor and he'll give you specific directions.

  5. I wear 2 week- 6.50 prescription acuvue lenses and have worn the same contact for nearly a year before. I wanted to experiment to see how long you could keep them in. As long as you keep them in solution you can wear then for months no problem. Just take good care of them and wear them till they hurt. An optometrist would not recommend this of course but I am 37 yrs old and am fine, been doing it for years. Some of them will break down faster than others. I got really lucky with that one that lasted nine months. I have no probs with my blood vessels or vision, never had an infection. Believe me your eyes will tell you when its time to change, optometrists don't want you to know this because they want your money. They have to make them so they last though so they don't get sued. It's all about money like everything else unfortunately. The people that get eye infections probably aren't using no rub solution. You should use no-rub but still rub and clean your lenses making them nearly new every night.

  6. There are some problems, but that depends on how you are. If you stare for too long or don't blink for longer periods of time, your eyes become really dry. It's also annoying if the lens gets out of place and u hav to fix it again. And depending on your vision, they can be expensive, especially if you use them everyday.

  7. Maybe will have dry eyes problem in the future.

  8. You can't really go wrong: just don't over wear them because your eye needs oxygen and the lens floats in your tears and limits the amount of oxygen that gets to the eye. They can't get lost; go behind your eye; cause blindness! However, they're not for everyone and people with dry eyes/irritable eyes might not find them suitable. Good luck, I think contacts are fantastic.

  9. you can poke ur eye out

  10. they can irritate, you must rinse really well if they're hard ones, and if you are prone to dry eyes it can become intolerably sore, i used contact lenses, i'm now wearing my glasses again, as not for the first time they became wedged in my eye because of dryness, you will only know by trying them yourself, everyone is different

  11. Today just about everyone can wear contact lenses, and there are more healthful and convenient contact lens options than ever before. Contact lenses are used to correct the same conditions that eyeglasses correct. For all details,  information and remedies about contacts check out http://use-contactlens.blogspot.com/

  12. They can prevent the eye itself from naturally breathing

  13. As long as you are very careful about keeping your hands clean when using your contacts - there's nothing to it! I absolutely love wearing contacts - most of the time I forget they are there!!!! You have a lot of options too - daily disposables, monthly disposables and some you wear continualy and dispose of after 1 month. The only other option is lasic eye surgery - which for me would cause far too many risks! I would say try contacts - what have you got to loose??!!

    hope this helps!

  15. they take a little while to get used but after a while u forget theire ther, but if u put them in wrong they just feel uncomfortable. the contacts they make for people with dry eye are especially comfortable

  16. daily disposables cut down on the risks of any infections but if you have other lenses that require cleaning you just need to follow the instructions.  I have had lenses of various sorts for 18 years and have never had a problem.  I have daily lenses now which are more convenient and means that I don't have to wear them everyday, when I do they get thrown away and depending on how much you use them you can buy them in whatever quantity for that month.

The optician will teach you how to put them in your eye and with time you'll get better at it.  Can do mine without a mirror now - but that doesn't happen over night.

I can't even feel mine in my eye and think they are great.  Good luck with any decision you make
