Are there any beaches near Kalamaria,Thessaloniki?

If so, can you give me bus no. and directions on how to get there! Thank you!

The beaches in the Thermaikos Golf, including Kalamaria etc are not appropriate for swimming. The nearest beaches from Kalamaria are in Ag. Triada, Peraia but many people including myself don't swim there. In Michaniona though it's safer to swim. There are buses ( astika) from the IKEA Bus station to Michaniona. If you take the Bus Nr. 3 from Kalamaria ( Aigaiou Str. or Andrianoupoleos Str. )  you will go to IKEA Bus Terminal. There you can ask the offices for the bus nr. which goes to Michaniona. On the other hand l suggest to go to KTEL Chalkidiki ( Which is very close to Kalamaria, is near the Praktiker on the road Thessaloniki - Moudania ) and go to Plagia, Flogita places that are very nice and only 30 - 40 minutes away from Thessaloniki.
