  1. Some African countries have had kings and queens in the past, though I don't know how many do now.  Ethiopia used to have an emperor, but the last one, Haile Selassie, was replaced by a military government in 1974.

    There were some famous African queens in the past, one of the most famous was Queen  Zinga of Ndongo, who in the 17th century fought the Portugese and was an ally of the Dutch.

Yeah, we tend not to put as much value on them...nasty of us, really, but I'm pretty sure most of their kingdoms are kind of small, and considered unimportant, and probably considered less worthy by most European monarchies...as in, you wouldn't be likely to see the future king of England or Spain courting a princess from Lesotho.  You know?  Their families and governments wouldn't look as highly upon such a thing...like I said, not terribly nice, is it?

    The media doesn't pay them much attention,though.

    Lesotho,Swaziland, and Morocco have African-based monarchies,while the Kingdom of Spain reigns in the Canary Islands Ceuta and Melilla.

  7. Princess Sikhanyiso recently made Forbe's list of the 20 hottest young royals from around the world. She is a beautiful African Princess from Swaziland currently living and studying in California.

      The skin colors of the other 20 royals come in a lot of different hues.
