  1. No I don't know any good books but, I can give some advice.  For musical theater you should be able to follow directions. It also depends on what parts you want to do. Some require strictly dancing, some singing, some acting, or even all 3. When you audition wear something comfy you can dance in. You should prepare a song to sing without accompaniment (that doesn't necessarily mean you'll have to use it.) And be prepared for rejection or a callback.

    Acting As A Business: Strategies For Success by Brian O'Neil.

    That is a best-selling book for actors in the U.S. about how to break into the business. I interviewed him and we built a couple of pages on my website together. He has more than 20 years experience as an actor, agent and personal manager.

    Great book.
