Are there any books in English about the GERMAN effort to break the Allied codes?

The number of books one can read about the breaking of Enigma gives a truly one sided view of the Signals war. The Germans certainly made their efforts since the broke a Naval Code. Is there any publication in English which deals with their efforts even though they were, apparently, unsuccessful for the most part.
