i got into an accident, completely the other guys fault. his insurance is paying for everything, including a car rental for when my car is in the shop, but im 21. the insurance company is unsure if this will be able to work since most car rentals need to be for someone 25 or over. does anyone know what companies do rent to people under 25? any other solutions?

  1. Sorry about your hard times.   That sux.  It would seem that some do, at a higher rate... I can't remember which one it was.  Did you check Hertz and Enterprise?  Maybe they will allow someone (i.e. a parent) to rent and list you as a driver.

Maybe his insurance company needs to make some arrangements for you.  They have a LOT more clout than you or I.

    Best of luck.

  2. You can definitely rent a car at 21, only that the guy will have to pay for the daily underage surcharge (more money from the insurance's pocketbook).  Almost all the car rental companies (Avis, Enterprise, etc.) will rent to you; some will go as low as 18.
