  1. Work in a nursing home as a care assistant. You should get training there for first aid etc but does not require a degree as far as i know.

  2. Most care homes and home help service operators provide training and you can work towards NVQ's whilst working.

There may also be opportunities available in community centres, helping run social clubs, coffee mornings etc

Check out what's on offer at your job centre or local care agencies.

  3. there are so many elderly people who need home health care. notify any home health co. and they will set you up for classes. no degree is necessary. what you do, is clean up for them, take care of personal hygiene, and fix them meals. you can also run errands. the pay is decent, and its a satisfying job.

  4. home attendance

  5. You don't need a degree or anything other than a desire and love of elderly to work at an assisted living facility as an aide.

There the residents can care for themselves for the most part, but may need help with some things.  My mother lives in one and the aides there help residents walk to the dining room, get dressed - tie shoes, make their beds, fix their hair, polish their nails -- anything they need assistance with.

They also have an activity director who plans parties, games, social activities for the residents.  They have individuals and groups come in to sing.  They play cards.  They play Bingo.  They have parties for every holiday.  They have karaoke.

They have movies  &  popcorn.  They even have Happy Hour.

That seems like too much fun to be called work.

  6. Most home care agencies require at least a 40 hour course in HHA or Home Health Aid training.

CNA or Certified Nursing Assistant can work in nursing homes or hospitals and home health care. This is usually a 160 hour course

PCA or Patient Care Assistant usually work in the hospitals. This certification varies in time, but is more technical than the other two certifications..

LPN or Licensed Practical Nurse requires 1440 hours (one year) and although it is not a 'degreed' program, some colleges accept the certification as a prerequisite for their nursing programs.

Depending on the certification and whether one works in home care, hospital or nursing home, the pay can vary between minimum wage for HHA, CNA, or PCA to $20 or more per hour for LPN's
