  1. A lot of Subarus have a hill-holder feature. If you have that much of a problem, get an automatic.

  2. Yes, Subaru is a brand that uses a hill-holding feature on their standard tranny cars.

  3. Some high end cars have a hill start assist, it basically electronically controls the parking brake until you have enough power going to the transmission to prevent the car from rolling backwards. You can accomplish the same thing by just using your hand brake.

  4. umm I just recently got my liscenses and my parents got me a 2004 mercedes-benz c230 and it is a stick shift and my dad said if u want it u learn to drive it so he taught me how to and i live in virginia and there is lots of hills. He said u have to find the pressure point of the clutch (which is where the hydralics of the clutch kick in but the transmission is disengaged it is a very small point midway to the clutch from the floor)Or on a steep incline pull or push or set your parking brake just enough to hold your car and put your feet on the aacclerator and the clutch and take off and relese your parking brake as soon as u start to move.

  5. no you should practice driving on a steep hill where there are no cars going up feather out the clutch while you are in first gear and practice it for awhile till you get used to it all manual cars and trucks have some roll back just have too practice and get used to hills

  6. Subaru and Range Rover are two.

  7. Subaru called it the "hill holder"
