Are there any carthusian monasteries in the philippines?

The Carthusian Order was founded by St. Bruno. Its a monastic order.

  1. there are filipinos among the carthusian monks (in their main house) but they do not have any monasteries in the philippines. they have one in korea.

    try to search "catholic directory of religious men (women) in the Philippines" and maybe you can find one. there are some old directories online, some new doesnt have info. try to google some dioceses, they have their local online directories.

  4. I may be wrong but I doubt that there is any Carthusian Monasteries here.

    Not unless, one has entered the seminary, but in the Philippines, we seldom think whether the church that we go to is Carmelite, Jesuit, Dominican, Franciscan, Benediction, or Cistercian. What's more important for us is that we go to a Roman Catholic Church without regarding which religious community that church is part of.

    You can try University of Santo Tomas (Dominican) or Ateneo de Manila University (Jesuit). Both schools are highly recommendable for their theosophical studies.
