Are there any cheats in playing Laser Tag?

I'm going to a Laser Tag Arena in Australia. I have been there many times but am starting to hear that there are cheats or glitches or advantages if you do things a certain way. Any one know any?

face your sensors away from your enemy's guns so they can not shoot you. in order to do this you can only use one hand to hold the gun.
