One of the original people modelled using NLP techniques was Milton Erickson a famous doctor / hypnotist. Followers of his style of work make use of language patterns that were documented by the NLP pioneers.

Hypnotherapists may use other NLP techniques. Hypnotherapy continues to develop, as does NLP. NLP is concerned with modelling human excellence. Hypnotherapy is concerned with providing therapy using hypnosis. The two may overlap in several areas.

There's two flaws in your question, firstly NLP isn't really a science and secondly (and quite critically) if it's prehistoric then how can we know anything about it?

Edit: I'm not saying I don't know. I'm saying the question you asked if impossible to answer. Prehistoric means before history. That means we know nothing about it. You can't compare something that nobody knows.
