Are there any counselling volunteer work?

Question

I am studying counselling at college, currently I am doing Level 2, the next Level is Level 3, than when I have completed that I go can go to Uni to do a foundation degree in counselling...but the problem is I need ot have experience of working in a counselling environment. I was just wondering would there be any volunteer work in that field. I have tried looking on various sites and I can't seem to find anyting.
