  1. not sure about in england but in the states we have hardware stores that can get you the info you seek from the product manufactuers they offer install classes and have professional installers as well.... I would start there and then go the library and look up info on building a green energy house

  2. Locally (California) I found a local retailer, Sierra Solar Systems, and, with their help, purchased the equipment needed for a very basic 24v solar electric system that I could set up myself. I chose an Outback Power Inverter, 2 Sharp 185w photovoltaic solar panels,4 Trojan L16 deep cell batteries, some wire, fuse and an inexpensive charge controller.  They also had track/mounting systems available for  most applications.  I upgraded my system last year and found an excellent local solar electric contractor to assist with the parts beyond my 'do it yourself' abilities.

  3. Try the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales, just a visit will inspire you and they run courses too:

  4. I put up solar panels on my house. It was so simple no class was needed. The panels come with a guide when you buy them, and any carpenter (even hobby level skills) is sufficient to help you.

  5. Yes there are but its quiet expensive , the panels go on the roof of your property to heat the water and the courses are about  ÃƒÂ‚£2000 .Just look it up as I cant remember if they are anywhere near you . I think they are called Dea training but there are others Good luck.

  6. If U do put up solar panels ,be sure that the support is strong enough tor the wind where U live.
