  1. Yes you can actually die from drinking too much water in a short amount of time. Water is good for you but there is really no benefit to drinking excessive amounts.

  2. Water intoxication (also known as hyperhydration or water poisoning) is a potentially fatal disturbance in brain function that results when the normal balance of electrolytes in the body is pushed outside of safe limits by water. Normal, healthy (both physically and nutritionally) individuals have little to worry about accidentally consuming too much water. Nearly all deaths related to water intoxication in normal individuals have resulted either from water drinking contests, in which individuals attempt to consume more than ten litres over the course of just a few minutes, or long bouts of intensive exercise during which electrolytes are not properly replenished, yet massive amounts of fluid are still consumed

  3. If you consume Clean water, then the only dangers are sickness I'd imagen which is extremely minor and unlikely.

  4. untrue!!! i sometimes drink up to a gal. in less than 5 min. so far im still alive and kickin

  5. Too fast cold water after being in a very hot weather is not good, because you didn't make a signal to your body to welcome it.

Too fast generally is not good, take like few sips then you can go faster. But drinking a lot of water is good, it makes you lose salts. Especially in summer,we lose a lot of water, sweat and so on.

  6. Yes, you can actually die if you try to drink too much water in a single sitting.  It sounds crazy but it's true.

Things like the "Gallon Challenge" could be dangerous at the very least you will probably throw up and feel bloated for like an hour.
