  1. I'm not sure you can associate the word "decent" with anything in Manchester.

  2. direstions?

  3. You could pop into the Malmaison hotel (it's just across the road really), they have a lovely restaurant in there but it's a bit pricey.

Depends on what you mean by 'decent' really.

  4. There are indeed. My suggestions are these:

Walk over to Princess Street (about 5 minutes from the station) and find a place called "The Grand Buffet". It's surprisingly compact for its name, but elegant enough, and the food is absolutely fantastic, if you like Indian cuisine. The good thing about it is that you can just walk in, grab a plate, and start eating. Great if you're in a hurry - here's a review of it: http://www.manchester-eating.com/27716.h...

Alternatively, try Tribeca's. It's on the way to the Grand Buffet, and an excellent place for drinks and food. I think their website has a map on it, too: http://www.tribeca-bar.co.uk/

  5. If you like Chinese food there's one called Buffet Metro about 5 minutes walk from Piccadilly railway station.Walk down the station approach, cross over 2 pelican crossings and it's downstairs on your right just after the photo shop.H ope this helps.

  6. YES!

there are a few between there and Deansgate.

  7. Yes. Depends what you fancy, really.

    But I recommend two places:

    1. Thailand buffet called Pacific Chinese & Thai Restaurant. It's just in China Town (58-60 George Street) about 10 mins walk from station. It's got grrreat food and is totally affordable.

    2. Chinese restaurant called Tai Wu. 44 Oxford St, also about 10 mins walk. The dumplings and dim sums are fantastic. So is the roasted duck, so I've been told.
