I have a Bankruptucy on my credit and my score has dropped tremendously, and I am trying to get some credit from companies that does not do credit checks to rebuild my score back up. I heard of one called Crown Jewelers and I did get approved, but I also have noticed that when you apply for credit your score drops a few points, and while I'm getting denied, my points are dropping more and more.

  1. You lose points off your credit just for applying . You don't want to keep doing this so steer clear of direct credit for now and apply for a secured card. Get a card with Visa, Mastercard or Capital One www.capitalone.com

for say $500 or more if you can manage. Although you'll have to put some money up....keep your in good shape and they usually increase your limit within 6 months if you have good repayment habits.

After you've had the card for a year or 2 you may want to try for unsecured again. Don't apply for anymore right now.

  2. ALL credit card firms do credit checks.....Start with a secured credit card....

  3. try getting a pre-paid cell phone with like at&t it is called the go phone... but instead of buying th pre-paid cards when you run out there is something called pick your plan. It's like a post paid phone. When you do good with those payments you can get into a contract with at&t and that will help build your credit. there is no credit check with the pre-paid phones... however, when you enter a contract you will have a credit check. but it will help you build credit... This really didn't have anything to do with a credit card... but it's a way to build your credit again...
