Are there any devices out there that let you watch .avi files on tv?

I'm looking for a device that you can put .avi files on and plug it into your tv and watch it straight from there

I'm not looking for converters or any thing of that sort

I need to know if such a device exists and if so what its called and where can i get it and if possible the specs of the device like how much memory it can hold and if it is compatible with other media file types such as .mp4 anything will help thanks in advance.

I have an Xbox360 and I connect my computer to the Xbox so I can watch any type of video files coming from the computer.

look if you have a laptop, then most probably it has a function of tv (look at all the F buttons, the one with tv symbol).... if there is, then you just need the appropriate cables to connect your laptop with the tv.

for desktop computers i dont know how it works
