  1. I think she meant Broadcast Journalism and Newscasting -

    Newscasting would be the reporting of current events without bias or opinion. "...The crash was caused by low visibility combined with slippery road conditions."

    Broadcast Journalism is the commentary on current events. "Once again we see that George Bush's lack of concern about the conditions of our roads has caused another accident."


  2. Many differences.

    Broadcasting can be the airwave transmission of anything -- sports, entertainment, commercials, public service announcements, etc.

    Newscasting is the use of broadcasting to provide people with information of events and the actions of individuals.
