  1. any of the air conditioners that run off of r-134a are eco friendly, the older r-12, and r-22 types are filled with freon, and have a ccf based chemical, as compared to r-134a witch has a gel based chemical. Every new appliance shows the refridgeration specs on their labels, check it out.

  2. Yes of course: They end up in the land fill after 2 years. The people who have them throw them out because they don’t work very well.

  3. Yes but they are expensive call your local trane dealer

  4. Try a spray bottle.  They only cost a couple dollars and fill it with a couple pennies worth of water(use public rest rooms and water fountains when you can to save even more).  In order for this system to work your going to have  go around and spray everything continuously especially on those hot July and August days.

  5. I dont think so...get a small room window one.... stay in that one room

  6. YES! Swamp coolers are very efficient if you're in a dry climate.  You can't buy an a new air conditioner with freon any more; there's a worldwide ban.  They all have an alternative that is much less (but is still) harmful to the ozone layer.  AC does of course use lots of energy.  At the store, they all must by law have efficiency info on 'em.

  7. roll down your windows

  8. THE ONLY WAY TO DO THIS..   WATER IN FRONT OF A FAN BLOWING IN YOUR WINDOW.

  9. I think company's around the world are working on eco-friendly air conditioners, not sure when they have the release date though, but i agree with getting one ;]

  10. NOOOOOOO!!! NONONONO!!!!!!!  AHHHHHH!!!!

  11. the new ones are eco friendlier, and the newest ones do not use freon...
