  1. you mean "that lived past 1950?"

Black Elk lived well past the 20's. So did Yellow Knife and Standing Black Bear.

  2. yes!! IRA HAYES.  he was an american indian that was a marine during world war 2 and helped raise the flag after the battle of iwo jima that became a famous photo.

recent movie called "flags of our fathers" told all about it

also , johnny cash had a song called "the balad of ira hayes"

and i believe he won the medal of honor (not sure though)

  6. The two that won Gold in the 1940-1970 in track and field,I don't know if they are still alive.Burt Lancaster made a movie of the first one.He lost his medals bcause he was a professional Baseball player.Disney made a movie of the second,he had to borrow shoes for the Olympics after attending the  University of Kansas.

  8. I agree with Jeff's answer of Ira Hayes. He was the Native American immortalized in the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima. He struggled so much in life, but he was a true hero. Another true hero was PFC Laurie Piestawa, the Hopi woman who died a terrible death in Iraq after being captured. She was the first Native American woman to die in combat.

  9. Quanh parker. =D

i misspelled the first name but google him.
