Are there any exercises that help reduce or heal Carpel Tunnels Syndrome?

we are just wondering in our office why our keyboard pads and mouse pads still make our hands hurt, and what we can do to fix it.

  1. If you have carpal tunnel syndrome, you are supposed to wear a wrist gaurd at night, untill it stops hurting. Im not sure why, but that is what the doctors told my mom to do.


  2. i hate keyboarding, it hurts my hands at my job too, stupid keybaords

  3. Stretching exercises helped me. I was to be operated and cancelled.

    Trick is you have to keep them up for life.

  4. Take your hand and gently pull it back, (or up) with the other and then down.  It will help to stretch those muscles.  However for the most part I believe rest is the best help.

  5. take a break to stretch your hand and wrist every half hour.  You can also purchase braces to help prevent this (at a drug store or Walmart)

  6. CTS is common among typists and is an overuse syndrome, the best way to fix it is to adjust the causative factor in your case the position of your wrist on pads. You may use splints to support your wrist and rest from repetitive motions that provoke discomfort. As for exercise strengthening of  hand and wrist muscles can be done.
