nice view and menu for a romantic dinner for two! We're from Mexico and we're going shopping soon, but we'd love to get to know a nice restaurant also.

  1. The Aquarium in downtown Houston is a very nice place to go.  The Rainbow Lodge (on Ella Boulevard I believe) is also a very fancy and nice restaurant.

  2. The Spindletop Restaurant on the top floor of the Hyatt Regency Hotel is really good at night.  You don't have to stay at the Hyatt, just go to the back elevators and go to the 32 floor i think.  It offers a really great view of the city, a bit expensive but indulge a bit.

  3. This is a beautiful restaurant with wonderful food:

    The Rainbow Lodge

    (713) 861-8666

    www.rainbow-lodge.com

2011 Ella Blvd, Houston, TX 77008

  4. There are hundreds of high end restaurants here.

This is Houston, not Austin. We have a population of six million in our metropolitan area.

Tell you what, try the Capital Grille for an excellent variety of food, impressive service, and great drinks.

EDIT: The Aquarium? Aside from being able to see all the fish, the food is standard tacky Landry's fare. DO NOT go there, unless you want to entertain your kids or just have lunch.

  5. Vargo's on Fondren just north of Westheimer.

  6. fogo de chao!!!

  7. Perry's Steakhouse and Grill  for great steak and chops.  Great service too.   I believe they have 3 locations.  Even one out in the burbs!

  8. some of my favorites,

    Las Allemedas

    Vic and Anthonys

    Sullivans
