My leasing office has problems with my 2 dogs in my apartment and I was given a court date and am now in the eviction process. Im trying to figure out if they will make me pay the court fees or if there are any other fees that come with being evicted.

  1. I was previously evicted and no there is not any court fees. =]

  2. You are seriously going to put yourself through court and get evicted over two dogs? Send the dogs to the pound and keep you home! Talk about irrational thinking.

  3. In some states, the tenant will have to pay the landlord's legal costs.

That includes the lawyer, the process server and the court fees.

  4. IT depends on your lease.

In my state, with my lease, the tenant is ordered to pay all court costs and attorney fees if I have to evict. It's almost $800.00.
