  1. Every where.

The Living Room in Calgary is rated in the top 5 in all of Canada.  Pricey though, dinner for 2, a bottle of wine & desset ran me $400 with tip.

Try looking in, I think it's called "Where" magazine, available in all semi decent or better hotels.  It lists all the things that are happening around the city/town your staying in (Vancouver in this case).  Festivals, things to do and especially places to eat.

Other good idea is ask at the front desk of any nice hotel for a recommendation on where to dine.

Haven't been in Vancouver in about 15 yrs, but there were some great spots in English Bay & around the CP hotel - which I think is now a Fairmont

  2. It's just like the states.  Every city in Canada has loads of them!

  3. Feenies,Bogarts,.  Gotham Steakhouse depends what your tastes are. We have the second largest china town in North america,, See tourismvancouver  hellobc. they have free guides to send you.

  4. they are all over the place.

    Try the 4 seasons hotel

  5. Fairmont: http://www.fairmont.com/waterfront/Guest...

Got through these and see what strikes your fancy: http://www.toprestaurants.com/van/Vancou...

Most of the top restaurants offer tasting menus, and depending on your particular tastes there are many options.  Read more here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16677773/

    My personal favorite?  Horizons: http://www.horizonsrestaurant.com/about....

I love the view, I love John Garrett, and I love every dish I've ever tried there.  Favorite appetizers are the Baked Goat Cheese or Grilled Scallops... for Main Course my favorites are the Salmon dishes... and for dessert if you're dining with someone, get the sampler and otherwise there is no poor choice if you're dining alone - lol

They have a nice specialty/dessert wine and coffee list to finish and a very reasonable "by the glass" selection of wines with dinner (which is nice because you can get a glass of sauvignon blanc with appetizers and then pinot with dinner if you wish.  I'm not a fan of ordering a bottle of something because how often does the same wine match best with appetizers AND main course?)

    Enjoy your trip!
