IMVU is nice. You just have to download something small.You can talk to friends and you do have chat bubbles.It is 3D.and You can speak any language.http://www.imvu.com

How about Runescape? Minus the speech bubbles. I liked it when I was 11, and I'm a girl. I'm 14 and a little bored of it now, but it was fun for almost 3 years! You don't have to download anything, just like club penguin. check it out...

I recommend www.runescape.com but you need Java. It had 3D avatars, speech bubbles and chatting. Good luck!
