I'm looking for a summer job, and I heard that being a golf caddy is a good paying job. I know that some golf courses hire 14 year olds for caddies. I need some in Muskegon. Thanks!!

  1. To be honest, I think 14 might be just a bit too young for caddying. Bags can be heavy, courses can be long, and golfers often rely on their caddies to know every detail about a course. Be ready to prove to the higher-ups at the course that you're mature and committed to providing a high-quality experience to their customers.

Another option that might be better for right now but still involved with golf is working in the cart barn. At the courses I've worked for, "cart kids" bring carts out in the morning, receive them from golfers at the end of their rounds, clean them inside and out, refuel if necessary, and direct new golfers to the proper carts. At the end of the day, carts are cleaned, fueled, and parked back in the barn. You still get the perks of being an employee (usually free golf, discounted food & beverage from the snack bar, pay is at or around minimum unfortunately).

Just something to think about, best of luck!

  2. I found a huge list of golf courses in Michigan. I'm sure if you called one of the courses they would be able to help you. http://www.tipsonplayinggolf.com/Michiga...
