I've recently become a vegan and am very strict. I still want to be able to go out to eat and have fun. Where are there any good vegan restaurants in the Boston, MA area?

  1. Happy Cow lists 5 plus 2 markets (where you could get snacks in case you can't find suitable restaurants):

While Yelp has several listings (with 10 on each page including a map showing where they are located). Each listing has a rating and reviews to help you judge whether it's worth it:

Hope you have a splendid and fun trip.

  2. My vegetarian friends love to go with me to Addis Red Sea in the South End (on Tremont). I couldn't tell you whether the veg. dishes are totally vegan, so you should call first.  Ethiopian food is tons of fun. They sit you at authentic tables called "mesobs", kind of bowl-shaped stands. Utensils are not used.... you eat the chopped-up food using spongy bread and your hands. Totally unique (and memorable) experience.
