Then you have art museums in most of the big cities in France.

  6. Hi, it really depends where abouts you're going but Paris is full of them.  The Louvre is good as it covers many different styles but don't expect to see half of it as there's just too much.  Be prepared for a lot of walking.  There's also a good Dali museum in Montmartre, if you're interested in his work.  And there are modern art museums too.  Centre Pompidou too.  If you like Van Gogh, you should go to Auvers-sur-Oise.  He spent the last years of his life there and did a few paintings in that town, for example the church and the corn fields and the town hall.  There's a tour around the town showing different venues where he based his paintings on and it shows you the hotel where he died and his grave and where he tried to kill himself (grim, I know).  It's quite interesting though.

    Good luck.

  7. The Toulouse-Lautrec Museum in Albi, a short train ride from Toulouse, is a fascinating place.  It holds hundreds of his original works.
