Are there any good articles on making a DOS like os?

Please dont tell make making a os is very hard i know, i want to learn, i can program pretty good, if you dont know of any articles dont post.... it doesnt have to be anything big maybe with a linux kernel

Books would probably be a better option than articles for learning that much information.

I would recommend checking with local universities to figure out what books they use for classes related to this topic.  Specifically, look into operating systems classes and Unix classes.
