I'd like to read something like Go Ask Alice by Anonymous or Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. Can I have someone's perspective also on The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky and what books seem similar to the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer?

  1. Well nothing could be as good as the Twilight series. And I am 13 as well. And I personally love both Speak and Twilight series. My suggestions are True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet by Lola Douglas and also the Uglies series. Both are wonderful books and I loved them both.

  2. the truth is, i dont read books for thirteen year olds. but i do reccomend 'teenage underground' by simmone howell. moving story

    XD

  3. Hmmm. I can't answer the rest but books that are similar to twilight..?

Try the Vampire Diaries, they're really good and it's a love triangle too. Then there's also the Uglies trilogy by Scott Westerfield, which is kind of Sci-Fi but still amazing ^_^ (It sounds really weird at first, but trust me it's the best series I've ever read^_^) Then Wicked Lovely by Mellissa Marr is great too. I read it when I was thirteen. Have fun, hope that helped ^_^

  4. Try Tithe by Holly Black.  It's slightly edgier but still fantasy and very good.

  5. In my own opinions, Go Ask Alice was such a moving book for me. Speak didn't really relate to me as much (not that i do drugs, LOL!!!) because when i was reading it, i had friends. It did relate to me, though, because i didn't really have friends and i knew how it felt to be an outcast, to have everyone hate you for something you had to do, and felt was right. I've never read The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but a good series that is similar to Twilight is the series Vampire Kisses by... i know her last name is Shreiber (spelling??? idk, just look up the series, LOL). a funky book i enjoyed was Feed, but it is different, and more guy-ish. Also, i would recommend Just In Case or the Percy Jackson series (those are more Greek mythology-ish, but fantasy, nonetheless). And of course, Harry Potter.

  6. When I was 13 I was reading The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. They are really good in my opinion...

I was just finishing up my Series of Unfortunate Events phase... They're also really good, but at 13 I was CONVINCED that they were far too childish for me ha ha. I recently reread The Grim Grotto (Number 11 in the series, I believe), and realized that they were not to childish for me then, because they aren't even to childish for me now! ha ha

    good luck!

  7. Read Catalyst, which is also by Laurie Halse Anderson. It's a bit different than Speak, but it took place in the same school. It's really good, and I really think you should read it!

  8. OMG! I'm thirteen too! lol. :)
