The Charcoal Broiler in Dallas is a really good steak house.

Bob's Steakhouse is really great in Dallas, along with Nick and Sam's Steakshouse. The steaks at these places are nice and juicy! I love it. Bob's Steakhouse is really famous in Dallas, might want to call ahead and make reservations because I believe it's hard to get a table without one. It's just that good.

Try Saltgrass steakhouse. They only serve certified angus beef (top 8% of USDA beef) and the food is always really good!

Chamberlain's Steak and Chop House in Addison is pretty good.  Pappas Bros., Bob's, and Three Forks in Plano are great too.  If I had to choose, I would say either Chamberlain's or Three Forks.  But, those are only the places I know about, I'm sure there are several other great ones out there.

I agree with the poster who said Bob's Chophouse - I LOVE that place.  I also recommend Lawry's (http://www.lawrys.com/Main/default.aspx)...

Some "good on a budget" places are Texas Land and Cattle, and Love and War in Texas.

I personally don't like Saltgrass, Outback, or Texas Roadhouse.
